Message: This message is to help others who are about to be scammed. I just had a sale on Amazon.com moments ago -- someone tried to buy some of my products. As someone who takes pride on quick fulfillment and customer service, I naturally I try to fulfill each of my orders lightening fast. So, moving on, I proceeded to purchase postage via my UPS Business account along with delivery confirmation and tracking. So, as I attempted to enter all of the data via UPS, the extension (5 digits) would not fit in the phone contact entry box within the UPS portal, so I attempted to Google this number to see if it came back to a company and I discovered this scam. My fiance is a retired FBI Agent of two decades and he's also a private investigator. We're on this! Oh, and when you call the number, a voicemail says" "You're being connected to an 'Amazon' customer. Please enter the 5 digit extension..." So we did and it gave us a voicemail to leave a message. I'm on the phone with Amazon seller team right now and we're looking into what appears to be a criminal organization who hacks into random people's Amazon account -- taking ownership (likely being found on the dark web) or b.) creating new accounts and using stolen credit card info to buy a product and then claim to have never received it triggering a demand for a refund to their method of payment. Also, they likely research random residence addresses on whitepages.com so that the orders are delivered to a real residential address and to an innocent person not expecting the package. Thank goodness my intuition told me to look into this, contact Amazon immediately, and my investigative efforts dodged me a bullet. The 602-671-6610 is a VOIP number (FYI).
