1 They claim to be Lending Tree, and that they want to give me a personal loan (all I have to do to get it is give them all my personal information). Two red flags. First, Lending Tree doesn't give loans, they check rates with multiple companies to help you pick the right loan. Second, why would Lending Tree, a company in NC, be calling from an unlisted GA number? Why would the voice mail tell me to call them back at that number, rather than the 800 number on their web site? Scam. 100%. Do not give them your information unless you want your identity stolen.
