The scam comes in to play like this: You call a number on Craigslist that offers to move you into a rental property, amazingly cheap, in return for working with a company to repair your credit (Lexington Law). Once you agree to the terms, they transfer you to the accounts department at Lexington and sign you up for a monthly program.Next, you start receiving emails from the 'Rental Company' to prove that you've signed with Lexington. Once you've jumped through those hoops, they send you a list of homes to pick from, urge you to make a selection quickly and once that is done, they set you up with an 'Agent' to show you your selected properties.That's when everything stops. They block your number, they block your email and they get their Finder's Fee from Lexington and you're left with nothing.These people have ads on Craigslist all over the country. Report them as a scam and get ahold of your State Attorney General.
